President Trump and other senior officials initially said Iran's attack had not killed or damaged any members of American military service.
Last week the US Army said 11 American troops were treated for shock symptoms following the attack on the Ain al-Assad air base in western Iraq, while this week it announced that other troops had been displaced outside Iraq for possible injuries.
Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman told reporters that eight military troops previously transported to Germany have moved to the United States.
On Wednesday, President Trump appeared to downplay American military personnel' injuries, saying there were “heard that they had headaches and some other”.
Pentagon officials have said that there has been no attempt to minimise or delay information about injuries related to shock, but the way they handled the case of brain damage after the Iranian attack has raised new questions. / VoA
