Grenelli to Kosovo leaders: Stop the clashes, focus on economic growth

Forwarding President Donald Trump's message, US Special Envoy for Kosovo Dialogue Serbia Richard Green has urged Kosovo politicians that all their forces focus on the country's economic development and the opening of new jobs today, writes the newspaper “Zeri”. Grenelli during [...]
Grenelli during his visit to Kosovo said he does not want to get involved in political issues, but clearly made US request for tax removal
We've been trying to convince government officials to influence eco-nomic development and the opening of new jobs and how you can give new people jobs and hopes”, Gren-elli said. He's called it normal for the new government to be formed, but according to him local leaders should focus on creating new jobs and bringing new investors, following the US example. What I'm trying to do is convince industries and businesses to come here. I'm not worried about political conflicts. The reality is that even European governments have these fierce discussions about the creation of governments. See Great Britain and Germany having advanced democracies that have had such discussions. I'm not worried about such a thing, nor do I think people should worry about that. I think people and politics have to worry about job creation and economic development. Young people want jobs instead of political conflicts”, Yerenelli said further.
“Timeout limit to close dialogue, compromise”
Meanwhile, US Ambassador to Berlin Richard Green, in an address to media, was also asked about the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. For this Grenelli said compromise is needed on both sides, but that, according to him, there is no time frame that determines the conclusion of this process.
Everyone must compromise. We have no idea, we just have the power to make people together. I didn't come to the table with any specific idea what the parties should do. Con-stentinely I'll push the parties forward, telling them stop looking back, let's look to the future. As soon as we stop crashing, then we may have increased businesses, young people will stay in the region and hope for them and their families here. That's what I want to see. I want to see our partners in Kosovo and in Serbia leave political divisions on one side and increase their economy for people”.
While questioned by “Voice” concerning the main reason for coming to Kosovo, Grenelli has said that in Pristina he has landed after successful negotiations, which resulted in a deletion of airspace, which would already enable Pristina flights é Belgrade after 21 years.
Statements made in Kosovo by the US special envoy for the Kosovo dialogue Serbia has even commented to Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciqi, who has said he appreciates Grenelli's enthusiasm, but according to him the acceleration of talks “does not go so easily”. He has claimed that in Dallas he has talked with US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien and O'Brien “show great energy”, as well as that for Serbia it is important to improve relations with Kosovo.
He has said that Grenelli before arriving in Belgrade has mainly talked about the economy.
We'll talk about everything. It is meaningless to aim for air traffic and not be able to transport goods”, Vuciqi has said, emphasising the tax Kosovo has imposed on Serbian goods.
