Court Makes Decision for Two Kosovo Women Who Joined I SIS

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has pronounced two years in prison on bail against two indictees for participation in terrorist group I SIS, Venera Ademi and Ermira Sekiraqa.

This conditional sentence pronounced against them will not be executed if they do not commit any other criminal acts in the verifiable period of three years, reports “Justice Trust”.

Judge Albina Shabanani-Rama has announced that if the accused committed new criminal acts within the period of verification, the parole sentence would be replaced in prison, where the time spent in house arrest will be calculated.

In addition to the conditional sentence, the accused have been obliged to meet the obligation to visit the psychologist or adviser and to comply with their recommendations for a period of two years by the indomitability of this act.

The court has ordered the Kosovo Sprovatory Service for monitoring implementation of the parole sentence and the specific obligation pronounced against them.

Judge Shaban-Rama has said if the accused do not keep in touch with the Kosovo Sprovatory Service and if they fail to meet their obligations, visits to psychologists or other advisers, the court will make revocation of the parole sentence.

The accused Ademi and Sekiraqa have been acquitted of paying procedural expenses because the same are beneficial for social assistance.

The parties have the right to this bias within 15 days of receiving it.

Otherwise, in the initial review held on January 24th, the accused had been found guilty of this commission.

The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment on December 20, 2019, against Venera Ademi and Ermira Sekiraqa, for criminal work “Organisation and terrorist group participation”, from Article 143, paragraph 2 of KPRC.
