Two candidates for mayor of northern Mitrovica killed within four years, free assassins

Northern Mitrovica Serbs, those who have been fond of and respected the work of political activity, have commemorated the two former North Mitrovica mayoral candidates, Dimitrije Janicijevic, SLS candidate for mayor of North Mitrovica in the 2014 elections, and Oliver Ivanovic, also the SDP candidate for mayor of North Mitrovica, who were killed for one day, on 16 January, one in 2014 and the other in 2018. Both before they were killed had been declared traitors by Belgrade officials and the Serbian List, writes the newspaper “Voice”.
It was the director of the so-called Serbian Office for Kosovo in Serbia's government, Marko Djurovic, who had named Ivanoviqi a traitor to the interests of Serbs and the destroyer of Serb unity, while two days before the two-year anniversary of Ivanoviqi Djuric's assassination called him a hero, a man worthy of representing the interests of the Serbian people.
