The two Russian citizens, who were detained in northern Kosovo for illegal crossing of the Serbia-Kosovo border, were sentenced to 250 euros in fines and will leave Kosovo, announced for Radio Free Europe Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Mitrovica, Nikola Kabashi.
In addition to the stated sentence, they were asked to pay the court's expenses.
Kosovo police arrested two Russian citizens a man and a woman on January 13th.
According to Radio Free Europe sources, they have told Kosovo authorities that they have been aiming to reach Lukovska Banja Banja ʹ rehabilitation centre in southern Serbia, near the Jarinas Qaeda border crossing, and that the navigation system has wrongly taken them to the border with Kosovo.
Basic Prosecution Attorney in Mitrovica, Slobodan Bakic, has said the two Russians initially made efforts to cross the Jarina border crossing, but, due to lack of visas, have returned.
After renewed efforts to go to the bathroom, they have taken alternative routes and entered Kosovo, where they were subsequently captured by police.
Prosecutor has identified them as Egor Igorevic ( Igor Krasikov) and Marina Vladimirovna Krasikova.
