U.S. health experts predicted three months ago that the coronary could kill tens of millions of people before the virus exploded in China.
Scientists at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Centre for Health Security designed a hypothetical pandemic on a computer as part of the research last October.
The simulation predicted 65 million people from around the world and would be infected within just 18 months.
So far, the highly infectious disease that destroyed China has killed 26 people and infected more than 900 people but experts predict the actual number to be thousands.
Dr Eric Toner, an old researcher at Johns Hopkins, said he wasn't shocked when news of the coronavirus explosion at Huhan in late December.
I've been thinking for a long time that the most likely virus that could cause a new pandemic would be a coronary,” he told Business Insider.
We still don't know how contagious it is. We know it's spreading from person to person, but we don't know what size it is.
The “on the first impression seems to be softer than the SARS. So it's reassuring. On the other hand, it could be more transmitted than SARS, at least in the community environment. )
Coronavirus are infections of respiratory lesions that can lead to diseases such as pneumonia or common cold.
Dr. Toner warns that after six months, almost every country in the world will have cases of coronary.
