Albanian Ambassador to Beijing: We can't pay tickets to Albanians who want to return home

Albania's ambassador to Beijing, Selim Belortaya, has spoken about the serious situation going through China, which has been addressed with a call to Albanians living in the communist state, that aircraft tickets will have to buy themselves if they want to leave the Coronavirus.

Through a status on the social network, Belortaya has indicated that Albania's Ambada in China is unlikely to pay the Albanian tickets there.

I call on the families of those who have decided to come back, not to hesitate, if they sacrifice this time for their man's travel ticket. The embassy has no chance of paying, while even the Chinese MPJ offered nothing for mobile financing”, writes Ambassador Belortaya.

Today: For the first time since the Ouhan outbreak, the MPJ of China officially informed leaders of the diplomatic body. The situation continues tense, remarkable mobilization, transparency and co-operation with O BSH, but without any definition on the near perspective and the performance of the affected curve. • 5,794 suspected cases • 59 healed • 81 loss of life. Hubei's province with the capital of Yehan has the overwhelming number of cases. While Beijing has 72 confirmed cases, 2 recoverers and one death case. Nearly all provinces have reported cases, and most of them have been declared the state of first degree emergency. Meanwhile, apart from China and some Asian countries, the virus has already emerged on other continents, including Europe. No one infected among about 400 Albanians who are here from whom 60 students. But developments suggest that we repeat the call for caution, avoid travel and respect for guidance and rules. There's only one student in Huhan that we're making every effort to get it out of, even though it requires some permits and applications and the 14-day quarantine rule - even though it came out of the original test! The other three, in our knowledge, are gone from Hawaii and have arrived or are arriving home! We have invited all Albanians who study: work or are simply located in China to identify themselves on the embassy email and report the status and address. We follow the situation and report to MEPJ.
