Albania, Kosovo suffer from personal reports of leaders

Ramush Haradinaj and Edi Rama launched the report as prime ministers of two Albanian states so well that the international community began to worry. In fact, at the gathering of two governments in the year 20018 in Pec, national unity was discussed. But their entire history has already ended at the Pristina Foundation Court, where the prime minister [...]
From the gathering of governments in Pec until the recent clash between Rama and Haradinaj has taken place many events that irritated the report of the two prime ministers, but that the same was translated into a state report.
Institute of Political Studies in Tirana Director Africa Krasniqi, in an interview for Kosovas said this conflict is one of those typical cases that the personal report affects the two countries' relationship.
He said that reports between Albania and Kosovo in the past two decades are personal reports where leaders do not communicate through institutions but do it directly, and that creates the possibility that when personal reports are damaged, then the state is damaged.
For Krasniqi, the relations of Albania and Kosovo since our country declared independence, they have not been weaker than at this moment, and this is mutual responsibility.
Mr. Rama and Mr. Haradinaj has had very good reports, had several government meetings, some initiatives, a rhetoric that even concerned internationals as if they have long-term projects and time showed that their positions are quite different, and their personal conflict is state conflict, and never since Kosovo has become independent of the relations of Albania and Kosovo have been weaker than at this moment and that is two-way responsibility, but the main responsibility is Tirana's responsibility. Official Tirana has a political conflict inside and should always not always include the policy of the day in Kosovo's case but deal with Kosovo, as is the national priority, state priority and intervene when we have Albania's constitutional obligation”, Krasniqi said.
Following the indictment Rama filed against Haradinaj, there was also a remote replica between them starting from the presence of Kosovo Prime Minister to a show in Albania a few days ago.
Just for accounts that have been opened in television studios, Krasniqi said it is investment in the wrong direction and that we are throwing mud on our face which takes time to remove.
According to him, only our opponents and losers are benefiting from this situation.
“Even scenes that come from Pristina to Tirana and fill television studios by attacking Tirana politicians and vice versa, representatives, prime ministers of Albania filling Kosovo's screens against Kosovo's specific politicians are investment in the wrong direction and we are throwing so much mud on our faces and on each other as long as it takes months to get rid of it and that's a great paradox, a development that seems to have no price but would still be a good investment for our opponents”, Krasniqi followed.
The renowned Albanian analyst was also critical of official Tirana, saying that regional and international conferences should not be used to criticise Kosovo.
According to him, Albania must receive lessons from 1997 and the reaction of Kosovo Albanian leaders after meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano with Slobodan Milosevic in Greece, where Tirana was asked not to take international initiative on behalf of Kosovo without consulting Kosovo.
By halting the so-called “Myniskengen Balkan”, Krasniqi said the meeting in Durres and Tirana was dominated by criticism of Kosovo.
Although he stressed that this initiative has nothing to do with treason as it was named, he said initiatives overplacing national priorities and damaging both societies in Kosovo and Albania are not necessary.
For himself, “The Balkan Moussenengen”, the former adviser to two Albanian presidents, said he expects to be without any product.
Now when it becomes clear that it is not an initiative supported and prepared by our strategic partners, but we have to understand the United States and Berlin, or the European Union, they welcome such initiatives but they are not behind them and that is a big difference then it is an unnecessary political movement and I expect to be without product. Albania's main interest is receiving the European Union's invitation for the launch of talks and Kosovo for a new report with the European Union, especially with visa liberalisation, which is a delayed promise, and this kind of agenda should not be opposed, overset, and should not be sidelined by any other personal or regional agenda”, Krasniqi told Kosova Prees.
