The prosecution shows how the mother had killed her newborn baby in Prizren

“Foundation Procurory in Prizren, the General Department, has filed charges against M.B., due to the suspicion that it carried out the criminal work “the infant's murder during birth” from Article 176 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code (KPRK)”, said in communique.

According to the indictment, the defendant M.B., dated 20,04.2019, about 9: 00 p.m. in Prizren, at her family house, on the second floor, in her room, without any knowledge and help from any family, gives birth to the male gender infant, after his birth he does not receive his navel, then he wraps it up with a sweater, where he leaves without telling anyone, the newborn has lived for several hours, with a result of closing up the upper airways and as a result of the deceased's death. As such, death is unnatural, consistent with the autopsy report.

With these actions, there is good-based suspicion that the M.B. defendant has fulfilled elements of the criminal act “the infant's murder during birth” according to the KPRK.

The prosecutor of the case in the case of setting up the indictment has proposed to the court that the defendant be found guilty and be convicted by law of criminal acts that are placed on him.
