According to the trial pronounced by the court's chairman, Judge Nikolle Komani, accused Shkodra has been sentenced to five years and two months in prison unique, for both the criminal acts he is tasked with, reports the “Justice Vowrim”.
According to the Comani judge, the accused would also be counted as past time in custody as of August 20th last year.
Otherwise, accused Shkodra had been declared innocent at the initial session, adding that he did not intend to kill his wife.
While, after prosecutor Ali Uka, in his final address, had requalified criminal activity from “serious murder” to “suicides from carelessness”, the accused had been declared to plead guilty, following this requalification.
According to the indictment filed on November 29, 2018, Xhafer Shkodra was accused of being on August 19, 2018, about 00:00, in Gjakova, right on his own balcony, deliberately deprived his late wife, R. Sh, aged 61, for unknown reasons.
According to the indictment, the event occurred while standing on the balcony of their house, the defendant with a type pistol “Beretta”, from a direct proximity fired once and with that shot he is now deprived of his late wife's life, where he then leaves in an unknown direction.
With that, he was accused of committing criminal work “serious murder” by Article 179 par.1 subpar. 1.3 of KPRK, as well as criminalisation of unauthorized possession of weapons, by Article 374 par.1 of KPRK.
