After yesterday's assassination in Pristina that shocked the opinion, KMDLNj, the Kosovo Judiciary Council must be put into motion by increasing efficiency and accelerating the dynamics of judging cases of property disputes in order to avoid potential cases of violence in the future.
Various sensitive cases such as those within the family and cases where the conflict has escalated should have absolute priority if it is intended to prevent future violence and murder. It is also important to profile judges, and the task is split, not to deal with all civilian field cases”, says in response.
KMDLNY response:
Yesterday, in Pristina, two people were killed and two others seriously injured in an armed conflict between two families. A tragedy that struck two families and allegedly had disagreements about exploiting property, respectively, had a problem about a cadastral line that ended with fatality.
It is not the first time in Kosovo that murders occur due to unresolved property disputes or because these conflicts last at unlimited limits until they are resolved, and in some cases it is late. There have been cases in KMDLNj where, due to the neglect of courts or the protracted court proceedings, there have been cases of domestic violence and cases of murder of close family members such as brother, son, father, etc. Judicial treaties in cases involving property and other civil affairs could also be delayed for a long time.
Following yesterday's assassination in Pristina that shocked the opinion, Kosovo's Judiciary Council must be put on the move, increasing efficiency and accelerating the dynamics of judging property cases in order to avoid potential cases of violence in the future. Sensitive cases such as those within the family and cases where conflict has escalated should have absolute priority if it is intended to prevent future violence and murder.
It is also important to profile judges, and it is shared, not to deal with all civil cases.
The competent courts for cases in question have the legal obligation that through the establishment of efficiency, efficiency and the dynamics of the trial, play a pre-emptive role, so KMDLNj urgently requires that court work on property issues be addressed by going to the task of responsibilities when concessions have been made or because of negligence or lack of respect for the deadlines for considering cases.
For these cases, Kosovo police cannot be charged with direct responsibility for dealing only with the consequences due to the failure of an institution that has concrete responsibilities that deal with these cases.
These losses of lives, as painful as they are, with planning, greater commitment, and responsibility for respecting the law can and should be eliminated.
