Limaj said Maksutaj was always with the heart of his nation, as long as he lived and acted abroad.
For him, Limaj said he is a man who has turned into the ideals of many Kosovo children, and has never given up his flag.
The Social Democrats have become a subject that is reaffirming and inviting the successful men and women of our blood who are in the diaspora and who have shown extraordinary results, have honored us as a nation and as a country with their successes in all fields. As you see today, I am officially welcoming the multiple world champion, and you know that by now 14 times champion in kick-boks, the great husband of this country, who from now on will be part of the Social Democrat Initiative, Azem Maxutaj, the grandson of the great Dervis Shaqa”, Limaj said.
Limaj said Maksutaj is the best testimony than Albanian exiles ever know to be positioned right at historic times.
“Azem is the best evidence that our Albanian host has always been able to organise and position directly in historical moments for the good of the country, sports and youth in particular. Our diaspora has always proved that it can be close to political developments by helping and becoming part of the positive changes”, he said.
While Azem Maksutaj, who today officially joined the Initiative, said the time has come for the diaspora to return to Kosovo to help.
The time has come for us in the diaspora to return to Kosovo and help Kosovo. 30 years of career not only in Switzerland, Las Vegas, Tokyo, we have learned to help Kosovo youth and join Kosovo”, he said.
