Gender equality in choice: Parties claim paid for respect of law

The parties in the country are still unclear what the number of candidates for MPs from their parties will be, where there are three days left, until the deadline for the certificate of candidate/members' lists is completed, writes Periscopi. LDK spokesman Besian Mustafa in a proposal for Periscope said this party will respect 1/3 as seen and that, according to him, gender equality among them is being seen in the candidate for prime minister.
We're going to respect 1/3 above all we've put a woman at the top, which proves a gender equality, where we have the top of the” final list, Mustafa said of Periscope.
Such an effort is being made by the VV.
Former President Albulen Haxhiu for Periscop said her party's intentions are to exceed 30%, but according to her, it remains to be seen Thursday where names will arise.
We've been talking since last year that we'll have additional mechanisms then we've been in an internal reform of gender equality and the inclusion of girls and women in the VV structure. In all centers, we are still unaware of exactly what the number will be, our intentions are to spend 30% of what is required with the Constitution of Kosovo because we strongly believe VV has girls and women to represent the VV. Our goal is to pass 30%. By Thursday it remains to be seen how many of the women participating as deputy candidate” will be, Haxhiu has said.
The inclusion of female gender in the assembly and the PSD intends to increase more than 30%.
That's what PSD spokeswoman Red Nature said about Periscope.
We're going to try to include more women than it's defined by”, the Red for Periscope added.
Meanwhile, ex-Deputet Milaim Zeka said there is no percentage in his party because it depends on women's will.
For us, the percentage of the party doesn't exist, by the way I had made 60-70 female MPs, it entirely depends on the will of women whether they want to run for deputy or not. We women are reluctant to deal with politics, but God forbid that more than 60% women for deputy” would run, Zeka mentioned for Periscope.
On the other hand, the organization DNVA, has been urging political subjects eventually to ensure implementation of the Law on Gender Equality by applying the 50% gender code on their electoral lists and to bring the basic principles of democracy into line.
“Political subjects have the opportunity to eventually guarantee implementation of the Law on Gender Equality by applying the 50% gender coun on their electoral lists and to bring about the basic principles of democracy”, the DNV report said./ P ERISCOPI/
