He said that the territorial integrity and the boundaries of our state are sacred, inexplicable, today and forever.
In front of the new cadets, Chief Prime Minister Wessel considered today a day of pride for all, while being a member of the world's newest army, he named it a privilege for which to covet the generations to follow.
“You are part of a defence force, born and developed in partnership with NATO, the most powerful Alliance in the world, guarantor of the values of freedom and democracy. We today feel proud of you. We believe in your homeland devotion and professionalism. You have honored your country wherever you participated in international competitions, just like our athletes. You have witnessed our allies' seriousness and willingness to be part of the joint missions for the sake of peace and humanity. With you Kosovo feels safer in its present and future”, Veselin stressed.
He added that Kosovo is building an army that reflects the lyrical spirit of our people, the values upon which the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo stands, and our vision to take the place that belongs to us in Western political and military structures.
Kosovo's “Army is today a necessary element of stability and peace in the region. Kosovo's military will continue the process of strengthening and professionalising it, to prepare for the NATO membership phase”, Veselin stressed, warning of increasing the budget for the military.
The head of the Assembly said there is a dream to make Kosovo a developed, prosperous country for all its citizens.
We'll make it, as we've always done. Kosovo has only one way: the road ahead, economic development, strengthening of the state, integration into NATO and the EU. There is no other way, and we will allow no one else to guide us, as Vessel pointed out.
