Tensions expected at LDK chairmanship meeting, major rift over coalition with VV

The Democratic League of Kosovo is expected to decide today for its nominated for prime minister, as well as for the pre-election coalition with Vetevendosje, at the chairmanship meeting to be held at 2: 00 p.m.

This meeting is estimated to be covered by major tensions, as LDK structures are particularly divided in terms of the coalition with Vetevendosje.

The LDK's two main figures -- Lutfi Haziri and Agim Veliu -- that at the meeting table one low on Mustaf's right hand, and the other on his left hand, which shows their great role in the hierarchy of this party -- are fundamentally against the LDK going into the pre-election coalition with the VV.

But Periscop sources say they are not the only ones who are strongly opposing this idea of the coalition, which is being conceived exclusively by Isa Mustafa.

Other heads of large LDK branches also appear to be in no line with Isa Mustaf.

The refusal to coalition with Vetevendosje stems not only from ideological incompatibility between these two parties and the history of conflicts between them, but also from the real risk of Vetevendosje dominate the LDK with votes and political powers, since the common list of MPs would enable that.

The LDK structures have a strong fear that Vetevendosje could severely damage the LDK, being on a list that would be split halfway between these two parties. The number of candidates for LDK deputies, who would come from large regions, would be halved and, therefore, many would be left out.

It is almost clear that the winner of this coalition would be Albin Kurti with Vetevendosje, as LDK voters would round his name on the list and the real odds are for him to come out most votes.

Recent research shows that Vetevendosje is taking the voter from LDK and therefore Isa Mustafa is aware. However, it seems he will not ask anyone at the party, and will decide for himself on this coalition. /Periscopi/
