Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared the good news that in the first twenty days of this August, 1 million foreign tourists have entered the country or 16.5 % more than the entire August last year.
The record display of tourists in the foreign passport register during August met Luisa, one of the two Forster family girls from Austria who, on entering the Port of Saranda today, along with his sister and parents, received a pleasant surprise. In the first 20 days of this August, a total of 1 million foreign tourists have entered Albania, or 16.5 % more than the entire August”, Rama said.
According to him, the increase marking tourism year after year is a major reason to believe that Albania will turn this important sector into a source of national pride and increased power for economic and social development.
