A physical clash took place on Sunday evening in Leposaviq, during a traditional tournament in small football, with several people beating up Leposaviqi Mayor Zoran Todiq, as well as his associate, Stevo Petronijevic.
Kosovo's safe sources suggest that Todiq and Petronievic were beaten by Andrija Antoniyevic with friends while standing in public watching the game.
“Chairman Toddic and his associate have been drunk and have constantly provoked people around who were watching the tournament game. At one point, Andrija Antonijevic, citizen of Leposaviqi, along with some of his friends, has begun physically attacking the mayor of this municipality and his associate, with whom President Todiq was arrested, after receiving some facial slaps has managed to escape, while his associate Stevo Petronijevic has been beaten and seriously injured”, Kosovo sources have said.
Sources have added that despite the presence of police members in the event, none of the police officers have reacted to preventing the clash that has lasted more than five minutes, nor has the incident been recorded in the 24-hour police report.
Kosova Preress has tried to contact Leposaviqi's chairman, Zoran Todiq, but without success, while the same has happened with police responsibilities for the north region, who have almost all day been unable to telephone.
