Several hours after the meeting was concluded between LDK leader Isa Mustafa and US Ambassador Philip Costett, the LDK has issued the media report, which reportedly discussed the LDK's internal elections and general elections to be held in the country.

According to the LDK's announcement, Mustafa has told Ambassador Costnet that LDK has the programme for the new government where the priority is to close the dialogue with Serbia.

This is the full announcement of the Democratic League of Kosovo:

LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa has started his third term today, with a meeting with US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costnet.

Important topics for the country were discussed at the meeting with Ambassador Costet, with particular emphasis on the LDK's internal elections and the current political situation.

Chairman Mustafa announced Ambassador Costet's performance of the LDK election process and stressed that the Democratic League of Kosovo recognises that the country must go to general elections as soon as possible. The LDK has prepared the governing programme for the new government where the priority will be fighting corruption and organised crime, closing dialogue with Serbia, accelerating integration processes in Euro-Atlantic structures, unlocking economic potential through private sector support, etc.

While Ambassador Costet stressed that it is important that Kosovo maintain its focus in empowering rule of law, returning to the negotiating table with Serbia, achieving normalisation and creating opportunities which allow Kosovo citizens to contribute to Kosovo's prosperity.

Also present at this meeting were Agim Veliu, Lutfi Haziri, Vjosa Osmani, Vlora Dumimi and Besian Mustafa.
