Unaffordable costs, not rarely had caused dissatisfaction not only with Kosovars but also with northern citizens of Albania.
Kosovars are soon expected to pay tickets to highways on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
This is confirmed by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister Rexhep Kadriu says the tax application on Kosovo highways is not expected to begin this year.
As he says, feasibility study should first be conducted.
“We are working on the feasibility study in establishing highway payment tickets. It's not actually going to happen this year, next year to see how far we're getting to this situation with a feasibility study and what the cost of” will be, says Kadriu on news.net.
However, the Ministry of Infrastructure promises that the cost will not be as much as that of the “Nation Road”.
According to them, there will be minimal costs for covering maintenance expenses.
It won't be the nation's way, we'll go at minimum cost to cover maintenance expenses”, Kadriu says.
The tax on “The nation's path”, as a chain effect, has also caused the increase in the price of travel tickets from Kosovo to Albania.
