The giant asteroid next month will pass past Earth ʹNasa tells of danger

A giant asteroid is expected to pass near Earth next month, according to Nasa. Asteroid 2000 QW7 is between 290 and 650m long and will be approaching Earth on September 14th. By comparison, the largest building in London is 1010 feet [310 m], while the largest building in the world is Burj [...]

Asteroid 2000 QW7 is between 290 and 650m long and will be approaching Earth on September 14th.

By comparison, the largest building in London is 310m, while the largest building in the world, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, is 828m. So we're dealing with a pretty big asteroid that, in case of a crash, would cause huge damage to the ground.

Nassau's headquarters has found that the asteroid is flying at a speed of 14,000 and 400 miles per hour and will only exceed 3.3 million miles of land.

Every heavenly body that flies within 92.9 million miles of the earth is viewed as objects near the earth.

The U.S. Space Agency said there was no danger that asteroid would crash to the ground, but Nasas chief Jim Bridenstein warned earlier that there might be a deadly asteroid in the near future. /Periscope
