Gashi: Government Change Does Not Harm the Ministry of Culture

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS) is drafting 13 bills, but have not yet been processed for Government.

The acting minister's minister, Kujtim Gashi, has said the new Parliament legislature will be found with a large range of laws that have been prepared.

“We are currently working on a new framework where there are about 13 laws currently being worked on the MKRS, but that have not been prosecuted in Government yet and I believe the new Government and the new Parliament legislature will find the MKRS with a large range of laws that are prepared”.

The “Law on Teatro that will enable all municipality actors to be part of the salary list and to be regular MKRS workers because they have been in poor condition and are already realised and many other laws like the Youth Law that also provide support and great advancement to young people in Kosovo, enabling them to recognise volunteer work as a work experience”, Gashi said.

Minister Gashi has said he has managed to pass the most laws in the Kosovo Assembly. With just one session, he said he managed to pass six laws.

“We have a good framework, an extremely large fund of legal and underground acts that we have passed on to the Government of Kosovo, and which have not gone up to the Parliament, and some that have not been passed to the Assembly, for a session we have passed six laws that are harmonised with the Law on Counter-Religure, we have been behind a great number of laws, and we are from the ministries that we have had the most laws in the Kosovo Assembly that we have passed”, Gashi told <x2]

According to him, changing the Government and distributing the Assembly does not harm the ministry at all.

Our ministry doesn't find it wrong even when the change of government and decision is made, so in the sense of delay we've been extremely well and we're at a stage to have a large framework of the ready” laws, Gashi has indicated.
