Those who have won the lottery are few steps from the realisation of the American dream, but not those citizens who cheat and abuse the law. Another citizen has fallen into the State Police handcuffs just as soon as he left the American Embassy's facilities.
Agron Selmani, 41, was handcuffed by the Albanian forces immediately after the DSS Diplomatic Security Service uncovered another cases of counterfeiting visa fraud, considered a serious crime in the US, and also envisioned as a criminal offense in the Albanian Criminal Code.
The Diplomat Security Service, which is the US Department's police branch and responsible for investigating all visa passports applications, has announced Albanian police on the ongoing visa fraud, which has resulted in the immediate reaction of police and prosecution.
Agron Selmani, as police sources say, was the winner of the American lottery. But among the documents he handed over to the embassy before being interviewed, he also deposited false data, as was a degree presenting the 41-year-old high school graduate “Jordan Misja” in Shkodra. From the verification that the embassy carried out for everyone through the DSS, it has been found that he had never actually been enrolled in this school and that the diploma was fake. As Top Channel sources say, once the lottery winner is submitted for the interview, the intervention of Tirana Police has been requested.
Agron Selmani is accused of forged documents and visa fraud.
A few days ago, Top Channel reported another case, of a citizen from Debra who risks serving up to three years in prison after delivering a false degree to the American Embassy. For the same fact on charges of abuse of office is the former principal of the school.
