This institution, in its report, estimates that mass returns of foreign terrorist fighters (LHT) are not expected in short term. Part of them may attempt to return to countries of origin or third places through human trafficking networks and organised crime. But likely, according to SISH, the organisation will attempt to re-establish in areas with a vacuum of security, writes Koha Ditore.
SISH, this institution of national importance in Albania, also provides information to heads of state to provide a clearer picture of the political decisions they have to take, but also for foreign associates, such as Albania's strategic partners.
Meanwhile, according to the SHISH report, Albania remains threatened by organised crime and corruption, as the main potential activities that can directly affect citizens' lives. This is made known by one of the most important but most reliable institutions in the country, such as the State Intelligence Service.
In his report for 2018, SISH also informs that the fight against organised crime as the top priority of the Albanian government and law enforcement agencies is in the focus of its daily work. The added interest in this area of SHISH is made due to the negative impact on economic development, social consequences and national security violations. SISH estimates that such criminal structures are aggressive, tend to expand and adaptability to avoid increased measures of law enforcement agencies.
