Wessel meets Congressman Zeldin with the approval of the resolution for the Bytyci brothers

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has met with Congressman Lee Zeldin today, who along with Congressman Eliot Engel has sponsored Resolution for the Bytyci brothers, killed by Serb forces during wartime Kosovo.

Through this resolution, which was voted yesterday by the American Congress's Foreign Affairs Committee, calls on Serbia to locate and punish Serbian criminals who killed the Bytyci brothers.

Chief Parliamentary Wessel thanked Congressman Zeldin for his dedication in drafting the resolution for the Bytyci brothers, as well as for his and the commitment of the American Congress to this resolution being adopted.

In this case, Congressman Zeldin stressed that finding and condemning the assassins of the Bytyci brothers is a prerequisite for Serbia to arrange reports with the US.

Chief Parliamentary Veselini informed the Congressman of his initiative in forming Tribunal for the Serbian genocide in Kosovo as a step that must be taken to bring justice to thousands of civilian victims.

Wessel and Zeldin also talked about other political developments in Kosovo and the region, as well as intersectal co-operation between US and Kosovo institutions.
