Tahiri responds to Vetevendosje over criticism for swimming exam

Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri values the Vetevendosje Movement statements as unacceptable, saying it tends to compromise any process in the country, including promoting notary, which is purely professional and apolitical.

Among other things Tahiri referring to Vetevendosje said no one would have the comfort to use a fully professional and legal process to achieve its goals. The minister also said it is time for this party to mature.

Minister Tahiri's full statement:

The attacks that the Vetevendosje Movement today made a fully professional and law-led process, that of the Noteria exam, are unacceptable.

From an exclusive political position, the deputy Albulen Haxhiu of the Vetevendosje Movement through a media conference took the courage to comment and try an exclusive professional and apolitical process.

More arbitrary interference in a rule-of-law Republic does not amount to classifying citizens as unworthy of being part of the free race in their professional and career development.

This is unforgivable for a political party and is the most absurd way through which Vetevendosje shows the degradation of its political concept, in relation to the freedoms and fundamental rights that recognises the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.

A process for which there is clear legal definition of who might be part, how the same is accomplished, in how many phases, how assessment and licensing are made, is more than absurd to need to interpret.

I want to assure all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that the new Law on Noteria and their number added under the 1 Noter formula to 10,000 inhabitants, is being thought and accomplished to provide services as closely as possible, to increase efficiency and enable easier access to notary services in all municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo.

As one of the measures enabling easier and faster access to justice, this whole process, based exclusively on the law, is reform that will achieve the effects citizens feel.

And the problem with this reform, as has happened in the past, there is only the Vetevendosje Movement, for which everything reforming and in behalf of citizens is not acceptable in its orbit.

But I assure the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that neither Vetevendosje nor anyone else will have the comfort of using a purely professional and legal process to achieve its goals.

It is time for the Vetevendosje Movement to mature politically, to distinguish between law enforcement and politicisation of anything that is related to professional processes.

Any evental irregularities or doubts have an address on how to handle it and the address is the law, implementation and measures for its violations.

We cannot tolerate that professional and very clearly defined issues by the law are subject to political deals or opinion manipulations.

A tendency such as this present, is nothing of concern for the process of swimming that has been realised over very clearly defined criteria, but it is disturbing for the way and the devalative model of everything positive that happens in this country, which Vetevendosje Movement tries to serve the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo in the opposite direction.
