The Kosovo Journalists' Association has concerned the announcement of the N1 regional television correspondent in Kosovo, Zana Cimili, of life threats it has taken through social networks.
The person who threatened journalist Cimili, in a photo of her daughter posted in Instagram, has written a comment in the Serbian language saying she is increasingly eager to kill an Albanian.
I would have torn up an Albanian child. This is incredible. And you, with your job, contributed, thank you for that. ”- He added further.
Moreover, the person in question whose identity remains unknown has continued with the instigation of hate speech, adding:
“I hope that a new war will erupt in Kosovo and that this time Albanian terrorists and occupants will have the opportunity to feel all the anger of Serbs, the desire for justice and freedom! ”
The AGK calls for alienation from such language and this dangerous approach to journalists. All threats to them, namely calls for violence against women journalists, are unacceptable.
The AGK expects competent institutions to find out in the shortest time who is behind these threats.
The “must be acted immediately because the clumsy reaction causes these cases to take off, after which it aims to introduce fear to journalists”, the AGK points out.
