In this case, Minister Ziviq has congratulated farmers for good harvests this year and stressed that they will always be close to farmers, in support of them, to meet their needs and requirements.
„Grour along with corn are the main culture of agriculture and is of exceptional importance not only for agriculture, but for the entire economy of Kosovo. The MBPHR will also this year support wheat growers through subsidies of 150 euros per hectares planted“, Minister Ziviq has said.
It has shown that of the total amount of subsidies programme this year amounts to 25m euros, for support of white cereals, 9.5m euros have been earmarked, meanwhile, for wheat culture of 6.6m euros.
Based on the statistics accumulated on the ground, it is found that the condition of surfaces planted with white grain, particularly wheat, is enjoyable, and of 50,000 hectares of wheat-planted land, the average productivity of about 4,000kg per hectares is expected.
Otherwise, the deadline for application for farm subsidies and other agricultural cultures and investment grants will be open until 12 July 2019.
