Kosovo Judith Majlinda Kelmendi was defeated by Japanese Chishima Meada in the semifinals of Hungary's Grand Prix. Japan continues its journey to the finals, while Majlinda now vies for the bronze.
In the competition for bronze, Majlinda will first face Spanish Anna Perez Box.
Kelmendi crossed the first round without a war, while in the second round, she faced Mexican Luz Olvera, who in the first round had defeated the local jungle, Katinka Szabo.
Although Mexicans began the war best between them by bringing Majlinda down from the early moments of the war, Kosovo returned vigorously and secured a place in the next round by winning the ippon.
In the quarterfinals, Majlinda faced the jungle from Georgia, Tetiana Levytska-Shukwani. Even this fight was not too easy for the Pejan, who sometimes found herself in trouble against her rival. However, at “Golden Screen”, Majlinda dominated and secured a location in the semifinals.
