Croatia's President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic denied that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a unstable state under the control of militant Islam.
Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported that Grabar Kitarovic, who is visiting Israel, has said Bosnia and Herzegovina “is very unstable and that in some respects it has taken over people associated with Iran and terrorist organisation”.
Or according to the Jerusalem Post, Grabar Kitarovic has declared that Bosnia “is under the control of militant Islam, which is dominant in determining positions”.
Asked by journalists whether these statements are true, Grabar Kitarovic replied:
“Absolutely not”.
She has said to have expressed her desire to see Bosnia and other countries in the region membership in the European Union.
I have not provided interviews and given no statements to journalists except for two press conferences, said the Croatian president.
Asked to comment on Bosnia's harsh reactions following the Jerusalem Post text, Grabar Kitarovic said:
These are comments on a journalist's comments. I repeat, I didn't say that”.
Earlier, the Croat member of Bosnia's tripartite presidency, Zelko Komsic, said that Grabar Kitarovic is continuing <x0-> propagandizing activities at the expense of Bosnia, presenting brutal lies”.
As the Balkan Radio Service Free Europe reports, this is not the first time that Grabar Kitarovic has made similar assessments during public presentations.
Two years ago she has said that thousands of fighters from war grounds in Syria return to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Consequently, Muslim Selafi is armed in Bosnia, and thousands are on the border with Croatia, respectively.
