Kastrati silences critics of the new director: How, then, did we not have any Roma with higher education? Because they're the most discriminated against everywhere

Kamenica Community Chairman Central Kastrati has recently appointed Finance Director Sinbad Sonki.

Snoki, who is only 21 years old, has received criticism from the opposition due to his youth and lack of work experience, says Periscopi.

Kastrati through a Facebook response, says Roma are disfellowshipped as inexperienced but we have marginalised them, giving them no access to schooling.

Dear citizens of Kamenica,

I have seen reactions regarding the appointment of Finance Director Sinbad Sonki, who comes from the Roma community. I'm worried about the difficulty of carrying the message and the idea to the public, and I'm going to make sure that this gets better in the future. Insufficient human resources in the communication sector with the public are reflected in these cases as well. Anyway, I want to clarify some uncertainty among the citizens about this appointment. Mr. Name Sonki in the position of Director of the Directorate for Business and Finance is the realisation of our purpose and the reflection of our values and beliefs of governance for non-discreet citizenship; the community's inclusion and advancement towards full social development.

Mr. Sonky is not every citizen, whatever new, any worker. Mr. Sonki comes from a community living in cruel conditions in Kosovo since we remember. The Roma community has suffered poverty, lack of education, health problems, early marriages, domestic violence, lack of perspective, and continued discrimination. We all know the number of problems and dimensions. But we continue to neglect at all levels. These are the most important aspects of this appointment. And when we go through these aspects, I am convinced that everyone feels the need for action.

Although the ghettoization of Roma in isolated neighborhoods keeps us from exposing ourselves to the harsh conditions they experience. Even as it is said in people: “Out of sight from heart” But I have an official and moral obligation not to overlook this problem. Furthermore, interethnic tolerance, progressive opinion of civic co-operation is not due to me. Kamenica is also a model of life - style that is admired and mentioned in social conversations, office, and institutions. The good news is that Kamenica is guided by someone who shares the same values. And that's why I've been declared from the beginning. I'm interested in having representatives of the Roma community in the government cabinet. We've been looking for and discussing community representation in the cabinet. For some reason. Under one, representatives of different departments could be closer to the community by having a representative present to them community needs. Second, diversity at the institution is the value of tolerance, democracy, modernisation of the community. When we named women at 50% of our leadership positions, we faced a similar reaction. I remember one reaction was: “communation is now just for canvas”. But the women of the Kamenica municipality have proven that they can lead the most important processes, have closer communication with the citizen, and pressure the men who have begun to lose respect for the public space they've adopted.

Kamenica's municipality is led by a new cabinet. And that's what I'm proud of. I know we're all proud. In the time of technology, great dynamics, the necessity of knowing English, the new cabinet has done excellent work, both in communication with donors, as in performing tasks without procrastination and ego, and as in co-operation. This is not necessarily so, but often the experience in Kosovo is a sign of the many implications, submissions and compromises in the past. Lack of experience for older ones may be a problem, but for a young person with energy, the will to learn, experience is created. So, you have to give it a chance. Especially, you know, it's about the most violated and marginalized community. Once we rule out that there's no experience, then there can be no experience because he's disfellowshipped, marginalized, isolated. So the question is, “s happened that we don't have any Roma with higher education? What efforts against marginalisation have we made as citizens, as a municipality and as a society? We may all have needs, problems, and personal concerns, but our humanity is valuable only when we care, think, and act for the other. This is what religion preaches, and this is what science says, and we all believe it.

Sinbad Sonki is the most pleasant man in the Roma community in Kamenica to be director. Our zeal for work and commitment has been observed by Sinbad during his course of learning Albanian.

I want to assure you that the Directorate for Board and Finance has the most prepared staff. There is friendship, a working atmosphere, and a fixed system. Nothing will remain without results. The performance will only increase. I take responsibility for this! On the other hand, all directors are important. The Directorate of Economic Development has the burden of bringing investments, treating tourism and diaspora. Education educates future generations. Health improves health services. But our decision has been well - thought out, taking into account all aspects mentioned above.

I love the work I do, I love communication with citizens and I feel equal to anyone who has positive intentions, thinks without prejudice and wants good to Kamenica in general. So I thank him who appreciates our devotion, commitment, and effort towards equality, development and full prosperity of the community.
