Authorities in Serbia do not need people, but the cases and those cases will each try to instrumentalise, as is the case with the arrest of a Serb at the Jarinje border crossing on war crimes charges.
So said the newspaper “Danas” of Belgrade, Dusan Janjiq, chairman of the Forum for Ethnic Relations, transfers Koha.net.
Janjic, in connection with Goran Stanisic's arrest, has found that the lack of co-operation with Kosovo authorities provides manipulation and instrumentisation for political purposes of each case, which is unpopular for the Serb community living in Kosovo.
Serbia has not accepted war crimes since Slobodan Milosevic's time, and there is no communication with any of the countries in the region. That's what happens to Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina... So there's no protection, no truth, nothing in that look, no appreciation for Janjiq.
What is really dangerous, he has said, is that such cases and arrests of Serbs and interpretations that can be heard from Belgrade only destabilise and impose additional concerns in the Serb community in Kosovo.
The result will be that Serbs will no longer dare to leave their homes, Janjic considers.
