That was the result of the vote today in the Assembly Hall, where Prime Minister Edi Rama called for the commission's establishment that, according to him, will also bring Ilir Meta's dismissal from the post of president of the Republic.
The Socialist majority, with the votes of several deputies in the new parliament, voted in favour of establishing the commission that would investigate whether Meta violated the Constitution with the decision to abolish June 30th as the date for local elections.
The Socialist Party has added two votes in favour of its clash with Ilir Meta, as in the June 13th vote, when the president's election date decree was rejected, there were 100 MPs who voted for the collapse.
Top Channel, quoting MP Ralph John, reported earlier that the Independent Parliamentary Group has not found agreement on a unified position on establishing the investigative commission. This was also seen at the plenary session, where MPs entered from the LSI list stood up for Meta.
Top Channel has also made the draft decision to establish the investigative commission, setting the three-month deadline for investigation of the president.
However, the violations the president is accused of should be confirmed by the Constitutional Court, which has not yet been raised.
