Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said that Kosovo has the capacity to provide health services to Germany as well.
At a meeting with German Health Minister Jens Spahn, Haradinaj has said that Germany is among the countries that have mostly contributed to Kosovo's independence and the statehood process.
Haradinaj has said health is among the priority sectors in the country.
Kosovo's “government has rightly increased about 20 percent of its health budget, at all levels for 2019, as efforts to improve this sector and improve health services in the field of medicine and health is among the priority sectors in the country, and in this direction we will continue our” engagement, Haradinaj said at the meeting, in a media report.
He has added that partners like Germany are extremely important and that “Kosovo is a country that, apart from medical experts, can offer more in terms of medical services, from here to European countries, with particular emphasis on the health market in Germany”.
Kosovo has capacities to provide health and support services for Germany as well. We've witnessed that our experts have already scored results and successes in Germany and other countries, but what we can do is, concrete co-operation, from here, with our experts, to offer these services to Germany and this kind of partnership will be in the interest of both sides”, he said.
Kosovo has received more than 650m euros in donations from Germany since the post-war, and a portion of them have been dedicated to the health sector. Your visit today is evidence that this relationship should focus more on a partnership. The signing of a Joint Declaration of Purpose, in which exchange of experiences in areas such as health insurance, health management, the qualifications of health professionals, and support for the accreditation and certificate of nursing staff are areas of interest to which we express our full commitment”, he added.
At the end of the announcement, Haradinaj has reportedly shown that the monthly “government has launched general reforms in the country, which include health and education reforms, with the aim of advancing these sectors and today's visit is a good opportunity to see these achieved and the possibilities of expanding interstate co-operation”.
