European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn has declared in Poland's Poznan that he stands on the recommendation for opening negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia. Hahn has opened the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans with participation in the Forum for Business and Civil Society, emphasising on progress achieved by the two Balkan states.
I stand by the Commission's recommendation to open negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia and rely on the Council to follow our positive assessment in October. The two countries have implemented reforms, in particular in the areas mentioned in the Council's conclusions in June-1818x1>, Hahn has said.
Johannes Hahn has demanded that regional states follow the example of northern Macedonia in resolving crises and has sought to find a solution for Kosovo's established tax on Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. /Top Channel
