The remains of a giant dinosaur thigh have been found this week by French paleontologists in southwestern France, where excavations of some of the largest animals have ever been unearthed since 2010.
It is believed that the two - foot [2 m] thigh bone found in Angeac-Charente belonged to the sauropath, a long dinosaur that had spread to Earth more than 140 million years ago.

“This is a wonderful discovery, especially impressed by the state of the bone”, Ronan Allain, paleontologist at the National Museum of History in Paris, told Reuters.
He also said that these animals may have weighed between 40 and 50 tons.
Allain also said that scientists in that country since 2010 discovered more than 7,500 fossils belonging to more than 40 different species, making it one of Europe's largest dinosaur fossil sites. /xp
