A sixty-year-old man who had amputated his leg after an attack was shocked to discover his image used in packing cigarettes without his consent.
The picture reportedly appeared in the EU cigarette package, accompanied by the “duhan-pijean message, blocked your arteries”.
The Albanian, unnamed, made the discovery after his son bought a pack of cigarettes in Luxembourg, has reported a radio called France Bleu, translates Peirscopi.
The boy immediately recognized the scars and burns in his image and showed him that the picture was his foot.
However, as Periscopi suggests, the husband says that his leg had been lost in Albania in the riots of 1997 before moving to France.
His lawyer, Antoine Fitante, told France Bleu that his leg amputation had nothing to do with smoking. ”
My “Klient feels betrayed, hurt in his dignity, seeing his foot displayed in a pack of cigarettes; we have to admit it's not nice at all.” The lawyer said.
Mr. Victorante has contacted the European Commission to see why this has happened and who is responsible for distributing his image in these packs of cigarettes. /Periscope
