Donald Trump has told British officials that he is not seeking military confrontation with Iran. He added that he is, in fact, seeking correct talks with Tehran about his plan to negotiate and expand the country's nuclear agreement.

Despite those words, British officials remained nervous, only 30 days after the ultimatum Iran has decided to completely leave the deal and develop its nuclear programme.

Britain, which shares differences with Washington over the Iranian issue, however, acknowledges American policy of imposing maximum economic pressures on this country.

Iran is hoping that a two-day visit to Tehran next week by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will be the moment when US messages will be sent, and conditions for talks will be set. /Periscope
