Thaci adds that this day the people of Kosovo remember any fallen witnesses to make independence a reality.
On this day, 20 years ago, Milosevic and his army surrendered to NATO. The Kumanovo Agreement means liberation, end of genocide, peace and the beginning of new life in freedom and equality for us. It was a painful but proud journey to rebuild our country and society. For the world, it was a human rights victory over any violations in the previous centuries”, writes Thaci.
The President says the martyrs are eternally grateful.
With the greatest respect, we remember any sacrifice of any nation that joined NATO in this fair fight. Painful, but always proud of their heroism, we also remember every witness that has fallen to make our dream come true. We're eternally grateful to them”, he's finished.
