Just months after reports about allegations of increasing the number of patients dead after the division of the Invasive Cardiology unit from the Cardiology Clinic, the Oda of Kosovo Doctors has decided that some of these cases send to the prosecutor for investigation, KTV reports.
Allegations that there had been irresponsible medical treatment and negligence during the treatment have been handed over to the prosecution to 9 files of patients.
Plerata Sejdiu says the Oda of the Medicals prosecutor was initially difficult to investigate these subjects, because even outside Kosovo failed to find experts who would carry out the expertise of these cases.
By the time the two clinics, cardiology and cardiosurgeology, had hesitated to provide documents and records of these files.
Following the QKUK's request for clarification of these files, the only answer was that this institution has good co-operation with the Oda of Doctors and answers to every request it has.
“QKUK has good co-operation with the Oda of Doctors and answers in any request the Oda of Doctors”, said in response by the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo.
In March of this year, it was reported that some CKUK cardiologists had been alarmed over the increase in patients' deaths after the division of the Invasive Cardiology Unit from the Cardiology Clinic.
Until, KSKUK, through a media conference, had denied the patient mortality data in these two clinics.
