President Thaci announces terrorist organisations for 2019, even Hezbollah on the list

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, taking into consideration the dedication of the Republic of Kosovo to contribute to the stability and security of the region and Europe, as well as the willingness to be worthy of being a member of the world's family of peace - loving states, today has issued a decree imposing security institutions to create local lists of persons, groups and organisations involved in terrorist acts, which will be subjected to restrictive measures on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Until the establishment of the local list, according to President Thaci's decree, security institutions in the Republic of Kosovo will implement the European Union of Persons, Groups and Organisations, involved in terrorist acts, which is updated on January 8, 2019.
Security institutions in the Republic of Kosovo are obliged to take relevant restrictive measures, in accordance with international practices, to all persons, groups and organisations involved in the European Union List.
The Republic of Kosovo has consistently testified to the support of disproportionism in the fight against extremism, radicalism and terrorism, setting a good example for the entire region.
As an active part of the global coalition against terrorism and violent extremism, the Republic of Kosovo will continue close co-operation with the United States of America, the European Union and other partners for eliminating any impending dangers to Kosovo and its partners.
