Second place took AKV”Drenica from Skenderaj, third “Cosa Galica” of Drenica, while the public's award went to the Lushnje song and dance ansemble.
Art leader Sadat Kelmendi, happy and excited about the prize won, said they are honoured to be winners of this year's festival of folklore “we sing freedom”, and to them it is the most precious assessment they have received so far.
And we've been participating for years. This year we are prepared as always before. This reward obliges us to work even harder, since we have been praised by a professional jury”, Kelmendi said, adding that the “festival sings freedom”, is among the most quality of such festivals to preserve the true values of source folklore.
The chairman of Kline, Zenun Elezaj, has thanked participants in the festival, wishing that they would participate in the upcoming festivals.
“We as a municipality have supported the International Folk Festival “sing Freedom” making it possible for the festival to fulfill its goal, because the festival for Cline is very significant, for character and quality becoming already traditional and identifying”, chairman Elezaj has indicated.
Other festival leaders have expressed satisfaction with the course of the festival, participation, prosperity and participation of the groups, the Rapods.
The festival's director, Alban Gashi, stressed that they are impressed with the participation, which he said was unpredictable, along with the number of groups performing at the festival.
For three consecutive nights on the festival stage, singers, dancers and instrumentists from all ethnic lands, featuring the genuine national folk values”, Gashi said.
