Local police officers on target illegal hotel activities

Kosovo police, in their efforts to prevent and fight illegal activities, have developed the operational plan in terms of identifying all hotel facilities, motels in the entire territory of our country, where only today over 100 items have been on the target.

This activity has been developed using other institutional resources in co-operation with relevant institutions that have this area of economic activity to the fore.

The control will be realised in all the establishments of this type of registered and unregistered business, and in the first stage of the focus of operation are objects that have greater customer attendance, while the operation will continue the following few days.

All competent police units and specialised units for combating economic crimes and corruption, units against trafficking with human beings, then Trade Ministry inspectors and Kosovo Tax Administration Inspectors.

Today's operation began at 10:00 and so far everything is under way according to preliminary planning.

In the initial phase of the action, three locals have been identified operating illegally. Also, during this phase of the operation, a foreign citizen who owned suspected narcotic substances and electronic-computer devices, suspected to be the product of criminal work, has been met.

Narcotics units have also been involved in handling this case and proceeding according to legal procedures.

Kosovo police will continue with their activities and police operations in the function of combating negative phenomena of all kinds, as well as bringing all suspected persons involved in illegal activities to justice, the Kosovo Police Media Report said.
