Hundreds of thousands of music fans have reached Glastonbury in what is being said will be the hottest festival ever, with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius.
These are some extraordinary air photos in Somerset this morning, with many tents making this part to be called “the city of tents” and reportedly the size of Colchester, a city of 111 thousand people.
Several balloons will be set up to raise the environmental issue with festival organisers who have taken steps to reduce plastic use in this year's event, preventing the sale of one-use bottles.
Music does not officially start until Friday, but some performances will be played on smaller scenes during today's day.
This is the world's largest music and art festival where they will strengthen legends like Stormzy, The Killers, The Cure, Kyle Minogue, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Barry Gibb of Bee Gees.
Standard tickets for the festival were only sold for 36 minutes.
