Egypt's state media have reported that former president of this state, Mohammed Morsi, has died after appearing in court. According to them, he was initially unconscious, and later died.
State television reported on Tuesday that Morsi got sick after a court hearing and died later.
Morsi was elected democratic in 2012 after the 2011 Arab Spring saw the end of President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule.
It collapsed after mass protests and a military coup in July 2013. He served only a year on a four-year term, while the organisation he belonged to, the Muslim Brotherhood, has since been outlawed.
Cairo's Criminal Court had postponed the Morsi trial and 23 others in the “co-operation case with Hamas” tomorrow. In November 2016, the Court of Cassation lifted the sentence of life in prison for Mores and 21 other defendants, including some who had received the death penalty, on the same occasion and ordered retrial.
