Since Albanians do not see hope in their country, the family from the Netherlands moved to do so to deliver a message of hope. In 2001 and 2003, Robert and Dana had been sent to Albania on vacation, reports Barnveldsekrant.nl.

Danya is a doctor, and Robert is a therapist. While in Albania, they were asked if they wanted to stay to contribute to health.
They thought long and decided to return as missionaries, where they thought there was a “call made by God”.
In Tirana, the couple work at the ABC Health Foundation. This Christian organization focuses on improving health care in Albania. Their work is focused mainly on the transfer of knowledge and abilities. For example, Robert instructs physical therapists in training. The training is almost exclusively taught in theory, while my training is largely practical. I help students take this concrete step from theory to practice”, Robert said.
Danja also contributes to training and quality management. In addition to direct care for patients at the health centre, the ABC Health Foundation also cares for poor people -- the Roma, the poor and the orphans.
We've come to stay four years. Who knows, we can stay longer, we can go back to Holland. This depends on many factors. But the goal is for the health center to continue when we leave. That's why the workers they're learning right now have to keep working. Our work has the greatest impact this way”, she said. /abcnews. al
