(7 years ago)Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqiri Bytyqi attended the opening ceremony of two-day conference works “From Peace to Prosperity to Kosovo Society Transforming Through Good Leadership”, which is being held in Pristina. Experts and [...] are participating in this conference, organised by MAST and the Kosovar Leadership Foundation.
At this conference, organised by MAST and the Kosovar Foundation of Leadership, local and international experts and leaders, including leaders and educators of two prominent American universities: University “James Madion” and <x2 Mercer”.
Minister Bytyqi has praised this conference as very important, while he said leadership and a good leader are of particular importance to each dictatorship and each field.
The top “leaders of the educational system have a twofold significance because apart from the responsibility to lead an institution from the highest to the lowest, they have the responsibility to prepare leadership”, the minister said.
Bytyqi said Kosovo needs good school directors, university and college rectors who compete to be the best, but also good leaders within the ministry who draft good and safe policies, and thus facilitate the work of leaders in education institutions.
As a United States communiqué, speaking of policies being drafted MAST, Minister Bytyqi stressed that soon the way in which school directors will be elected will be elected, while he said that together with international partners, it is working to open up opportunities for leaders who can and to guide the education system.
