Belgradeski Pobednik [the Belgrade winner] is one of the most important Serbian symbols, unearthed by prominent Croat Ivan Meshtrovic.
It has been built to promote Serbia's victory over the Ottomans and the Austro-Hungarian Empire during the Balkan Wars and World War I, writes Periscope.

It is 14m long, and represents one of the most visited tourist attractions in Belgrade.
A man figure stands with a hawk in his left hand and a sword on his right [like symbols of peace and war].
The idea for its construction was born in 1912, following Serbia's successes in the First Balkan War. The construction decision was made in 1913.

Initially, the warrior's manic figure had shaken the public because of nudity -- that is, his body was completely callous and showed no sign of the Serbian Army. Moreover, Belgraden women had protested sharply, saying that she corrupted the morals of girls who would see a man's call figure in public.
But, recently, Serbian media have also written about her hat, which is very much like the plurality of Albanians. They are raising the possibility that the Cultural man who has served for nearly a century as a symbol of the city of Belgrade was in fact Albanian and not Serbian. /Periscope
