LDK Parliamentary Group Chairman Avdullah Hoti, and MP Hykmete Bajrami attended the Berlin summits on geo-economic competition and the Western Balkans, organised by Konrad Adenaur Stiftung and the CDU Economic Council.
On the first day of the visit, along with representatives of Western Balkan countries, Hoti and Bajrami met with senior officials, such as Gunther Oetttinger, Commissioner for Business at the European Commission, with which they resolved the need for EU budgetary support for Kosovo to be oriented on major and visual projects, which have a direct impact on citizens' lives.
At the meeting with Dr Joachim Bertele, in charge of security issues in the Chancellor's cabinet, Hoti and Bajrami discussed visa liberalisation and Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, where they stressed the LDK's position that the topic of exchange of territories should not be opened, welcoming Germany's position in this regard.
At other meetings, as with the Federal Ministry for Economic and Energy Affairs parliamentary secretary, the honorary president of the CDU Economic Council, When to Lauk, the deputies of the Patrick Sensburg Bundest and Marian West, Frank Pries from KAS, Martin Henze, and others, were widely discussed the role that the EU should have in the Balkans faced China's great insistence on being present in the region.
