Political analyst Behlul Beqaj says that until two decades ago Kosovo citizens were forced to evacuate the country due to Serb attacks, today they are obliged to act the same because of the country's leaders.
“Unfortunately, we after 20 years are in a position to experience an evacuation of Kosovo, for other reasons, not now because of Serb violence, but because of not being found, unable, without the honesty of political leadership. Which did not create the existential preconditions that at least youth, which should be the driver, the state building locomotive. To seek no solution outside Kosovo, but to seek space in statehood, and that the fact that most of them are emptying Kosovo, we are right and we do not have much reason to celebrate”, Beqaj says.
Beqaj says that on the 20th anniversary of freedom, Kosovo is also being contested for citizenship. And that's why he blames the leaders of the country.
Kosovo is on a crossroads track to move forward without this leadership, which has rejected the state itself and is countering all those crimes, for giving Serbia space for this. And create a new space on the surface to emerge a new political leadership, which has no burdens from the past and has not been lifted above the law or over the state. But it is in the function of statehood and the genuine interests of Kosovo citizens and citizens”, Beqaj adds.
As for former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright Beqaj says they should appreciate their contribution, but according to him Kosovo is not obliged to become servile, even in cases of efforts which harm the state's construction of Kosovo.
