According to a police inspection report, the number of armed robberies has increased, where Pristina and Peja have recorded the largest number of cases.
While, the decline in the number of robberies is in Gjakova and South Mitrovica. According to this report, of the 297 robberies that took place in 2018, 199 were armed.
“According to provided data, during 2018 robberies and armed robberies have scored a country level of 2% for 0.5%, respectively.
DDRP-Pristina has counted the largest number of armed robbery (59% of the total number of armed robberys at the country's 2017-2018 level, respectively.
Raised cases of armed robbery has marked DDRP-Gnjilan and DPS-Peje, with 50% each, as well as DDRP-Pristina at 8%. Most DPS have seen a decline in the number of cases of armed robbery. The biggest decline in gun robbery cases, expressed in percentages, has been noted DDRP- Mitrovica Northy with 83%, DRUP-Gravo with 40%, DDRP- Mitrovica South with 28%, DDRP- Prizren with 27% and DDRP- Ferizaj with 21%”, says this IPK report.
